Dr. Barquero Molina holds Ph.D., M.S., and B.S. degrees, all in geology, from The University of Texas at Austin, the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and the University of Oviedo (Spain) respectively. Her principal focus revolves around teaching, specifically field-based courses and experiential learning. She regularly teaches GIS and GPS Applications in the Earth Sciences, Field Methods, Field Camp, and occasionally teaches and co-leads field trips for other courses or learning experiences across the curriculum.

Areas of Expertise

Dr. Barquero Molina is a field geologist, who, although trained as a more traditional structural geologist, describes herself as a generalist with interests spanning structural geology, tectonics, and hard-rock geology. She has taught field courses across the western US, Chile, and Spain.
