Dr. Whiteaker is a Research Scientist at the Center for Water and the Environment in the Cockrell School of Engineering. He specializes in developing software, data, and cartographic solutions for State, Federal, and industry research sponsors in the areas of water resources, environmental monitoring and sampling, and geology.
At the Institute for Geophysics, Dr. Whiteaker transforms geologic interpretations by other UTIG researchers into a Geographic Information System (GIS) for the Gulf of Mexico Basin Depositional Synthesis project.
