Jackson School and UT Contacts for Counseling and Questions
March 20, 2020
Our new circumstances may be a new source of stress for you or your friends/fellow students. If you or someone you know is having difficulty dealing with all that is going on right now, the Counseling and Mental Health Center Crisis Line is available to you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The number is 512-471-2255. Your fellow students are a good resource for talking things through if you feel more comfortable talking to your peers. In the coming weeks, take the time for people in your life: call your classmates, friends, neighbors, and family to check on one another. That network can be an excellent support system in a time of change
Of course, if you feel the need to contact the school, feel free to reach out to Associate Dean for Academic Affairs Chris Bell, Department Chair Charlie Kerans, Graduate Program Administrator Philip Guerrero and Academic Advising Coordinator Jessica Bradford (contacts below). We will either try to answer your questions or route you to someone with more direct knowledge.
Be safe and relax on your extended Spring Break! We look forward to interacting with you all again online starting 30 March!
