Kaixuan Kang

Kaixuan's main research interests are in geodynamics and geodesy with focus on the numerical simulation on the geodynamic interplay between ice sheet, ocean and solid Earth. Her work focuses on numerical modeling for the glacial isostatic adjustment (GIA) process and its Earth surface responses, such as land motion and sea level changes, and how to use modern geodetic techniques to improve the model. Her current research goals are to explore the effects of non-Newtonian mantle rheology on ice age geodynamics and to improve our understanding of the ongoing signal of GIA in Antarctica and the Antarctic Ice Sheet Evolution.
