Areas of Expertise
Hailun NiÂ’s research focuses on the impact of geologic heterogeneity on plume migration and trapping in CO2 geologic storage. She also manages the Sandtank Lab and uses laboratory experiments to better understand subsurface fluid flow. Ni completed a postdoctoral fellowship and is currently a Research Assistant Professor at the Gulf Coast Carbon Center, Bureau of Economic Geology. Prior to joining the Bureau, she earned a doctoral degree in Energy Resources Engineering from Stanford University.
