Policy Connect Industry Night: Energy, Environment and Sustainability Policy
Event Purpose:
This event is designed to help students explore the intersections of environment, sustainability, and policy within the fields of Public Affairs and Geosciences. Alumni and industry leaders are encouraged to share their professional experiences, provide insight into career pathways, and help students expand their networks. Rather than focusing exclusively on environmental policy, this event emphasizes an interdisciplinary perspective, examining how the environment, sustainability, and policy intersect to drive the future of energy. Attendees will include current Jackson School students, as well as current & prospective LBJ School of Public Affairs students.
Schedule:
5:15 PM – Opening remarks by the UT Energy Institute
5:20 PM – Panel discussion
6:15 PM – Informal networking session
7:00 PM – Formal conclusion (networking may continue beyond this time)

Location:
The event will take place at the LBJ School of Public Affairs (Sid Richardson Hall), located next to the LBJ Presidential Library. The recommended address for navigation is 2300 Red River Street, Austin, TX 78712. Parking will be available in Lot 39. A parking pass for panelists will be provided upon arrival; vehicles must be parked in the designated lot to avoid a citation. Parking can also be found in any of the campus garages or street parking located here on this map. The Manor Parking Garage is closest to the SRH building. Light bites and refreshments will be provided for all attendees.
