Joshua W. Beede (1871-1940)

During his short stay with the Bureau of Economic Geology (BEG), he published several papers on the Paleozoic era of Texas.

He was expected to follow Johan A. Udden as State Geologist but moved into industry.

Many of Beede’s collections are housed at NPL.
