Houston Geological Society General Dinner Meeting
Join us for a compelling presentation by Dr. Michael Young, Associate Dean for Research at the Jackson School of Geosciences at The University of Texas at Austin, on “Comparing Life-Cycle Environmental Impacts and Costs of Electricity Generation Systems.”
Dr. Young will discuss the trade-offs and environmental implications of diverse energy sources, including natural gas, wind, and solar power. The presentation will cover critical insights into supply chain emissions, resource consumption, and cost efficiency, highlighting how different energy pathways impact our environment over time.
