Andrew West is the Chief Development Officer for the Jackson School of Geosciences. In this role, he oversees all development and alumni relations activities for the Jackson School. Andrew has spent the past seven years here on campus in the University Development Office supporting initiatives in the College of Fine Arts as well as other programs across campus. He is a proud graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and a lifelong Austinite. Andrew lives in North Austin with his wife Mandy and daughter Abigail.

 

Lucy Allman

Lucy Allman is the Director of Gift and Estate Planning for the Jackson School of Geosciences and the College of Natural Sciences. Lucy has 13 years of nonprofit management and philanthropy experience and six years of higher education philanthropy experience. She moved to Austin in September 2021 and has been supporting friends and alumni of the Jackson School ever since! In this role she acts as a tax-advantaged giving resource to our donor community and primarily assists donors by increasing their confidence and knowledge around opportunities at the University to achieve their philanthropic goals. Lucy holds a B.A. from University of North Dakota and an M.P.A. from Penn State University.

Elizabeth joined the Jackson School of Geosciences in November 2022 as a Director of Development, Major Gifts, where she is responsible for raising major gift philanthropic support. Elizabeth has 20+ years in non-profit development and operations with state and national health and human service agencies. She holds a B.J. from The University of Texas at Austin, and a Certificate of Fund Raising Management from Indiana University’s Lilly School of Philanthropy. She is a proud member of the University of Texas Longhorn Alumni Band and lives in the North Austin area with her husband.

Nick Warrington join the University of Texas at Austin and the Jackson School of Geosciences in May of 2023. As the Director of Major Gifts, Nick strives to find opportunities for passionate alumni and families to support the mission and future of the Jackson School of Geosciences through philanthropy. He believes that together, the supporters and the Jackson School, can pull together resources to accomplish something that neither could do on their own. Nick has over 10 years of experience in higher education alumni relations & development. Prior to joining the Jackson School, he has worked at Virginia Tech, Wright State University, and Trinity University. Nick resides in San Antonio with his partner and their Bernadoodle, Tilly.

 

Kristen Tucek

Kristen oversees corporate relations at the Jackson School. In this role, she works strategically with industry partners to maximize their philanthropic impact and to increase collaborative opportunities between companies and The University of Texas at Austin. Kristen has a B.S. degree in Nutritional Sciences from Texas A&M University and over 15 years of experience in nonprofit volunteer management.

Courtney is the Director of Donor and Alumni Engagement for the Jackson School of Geosciences. In this role, she provides leadership and direction to strategic alumni engagement and giving programs. She has more than 17 years of experience raising awareness and financial support for worthy causes. Courtney holds a B.A. from George Washington University’s Elliott School of International Affairs, Washington, D.C., and a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from The University of Texas at Austin.

 

Georgia Sanders

Georgia has over 20 years of experience in different aspects of development. She is responsible for overseeing the Donor Relations programs at the Jackson School – including planning the Evening of Thanks and the Scholars Luncheon, our annual events that recognize and thank donors. Georgia also manages the Geology Foundation Advisory Council meetings. She is a lifelong Longhorn and loves being on campus every day.

Nina Staeben is the Donor and Alumni Engagement Coordinator for the Jackson School of Geosciences. In this role she supports the gift officers with event management, stewardship, and other projects. Nina began working at the University of Texas in 2019 at the College of Fine Arts and has a history of fundraising and management in the nonprofit professional arts sector. Nina holds a B.A. in English from the College of William & Mary and enjoys supporting the vibrant arts community of Austin in her spare time.

Claudia Garza is a Development Associate with a passion for fostering a more sustainable future for Austin. Known for her strength in cultivating impactful connections, Claudia is dedicated to supporting the Jackson School of Geosciences. She strives to contribute a collaborative spirit and a commitment to excellence aimed at achieving our collective goals. She has a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her two dogs, Myra and Josephine, and actively engages in community initiatives that foster growth and positive change, such as Big Brothers Big Sisters and SAFE Alliance.
