New Gift Boosts Hydrology Program and Texas Water Research
A recent $1 million gift from an anonymous donor is strengthening the Jackson School’s hydrology program. It will support student research, fieldwork, and hands-on experiences with the agencies that manage Texas’ water. The gift will also fund a new public web portal to share data and research on Texas groundwater.
“There’s really some unique opportunities that the Jackson School has with regards to groundwater resources,” said Research Associate Professor Marcus Gary. “There’s such a big need in Central Texas and throughout Texas. We should tackle the things in our backyard. I think this is an opportunity to really champion that.”
