Jackson School Community,

Below you will find a list of students receiving awards at this year’s student research symposium. I want to add my thanks to the Graduate Student Executive Committee for their terrific research symposium, and the leaders of the effort, Nicole Czwakiel and Mikayla Pascual. Thanks to Melissa Armstrong, our senior events program coordinator par excellence, and to Kristen Tucek, our director of corporate relations.

Our team of volunteer judges was, as always, eager to talk with students about their research and to select this year’s top efforts. The judges represented every unit in JSG and many friends and alumni. All of them commented on the breadth and quality of the research students are conducting here at JSG.

Thanks are also due to our sponsors, Shell, Chevron, ExxonMobil, Conoco Phillips and Sandia National Laboratories, who know the value of research in educating top students and help make the event and its awards happen, year after year. Many of the sponsors brought additional judges and teammates with them. This raises the visibility of all of our students!

And to the mentors of all these students — you are doing a great job. The students were professional and their results were well thought through.

Above all, congratulations to our students, current and future. Keep up the hard work and commit to putting yourself in a position to take advantage of the many opportunities that life has to offer!
