Glen made great contributions to the investigations of early man sites in Texas and bordering New Mexico. We have selected four of these sites to give you some idea of his remarkable ability to integrate geological and archeological investigations. This approach is now termed ‘geoarcheology’.

A seminal paper co-authored with Grayson E. Meade in 1945 established the Quaternary geology of the high plains of Texas. Rumor has it that this classic paper only got written because Evans and Meade holed up in a motel in Van Horn and wrote it.  They then presented a finished product before their Director, E.H. Sellards, could direct them out to the field again!
