J. Dennis Baldwin is a doctoral student in the Department of Geography and the Environment. He earned his MA in geography at the University of Texas at Austin in December of 2022, and has a BA in anthropology and a BS in Biology from the University of Pittsburgh (April 2017). He has many years of experience in Archaeological fieldwork, and more recently has been working in the Beach Soils and Geoarchaeology Lab specializing in the analysis of archaeological soil samples and studying ancient landscapes through GIS analysis in the Landscapes of Latin America and Mediterranean Areas (LLAMA) lab. His current research interests are ancient water management and subsistence strategies.
