Evan King is a graduate student at the University of Texas at Austin Jackson School of Geosciences, studying geochemistry and hydrologic processes. She is a student in ‘Fundamentals & Applications of ICP-MS’ learning the ropes to be able to analyze trace elements in both tree rings and urban stream water samples. She has experience working with tree rings collected from trees located in the Austin area.

Aristos Brandt otherwise known as Ari Brandt, is a master of science student in the Earth and Energy Resources program in the Jackson School of Sciences at UT Austin. His bachelor’s degree was in Chemistry, concentrating on environmental chemistry from the University of Delaware. While he has never developed ICP-MS analysis methods before, he has experience in performing numerous wet chemistry methods and has worked in a lab performing and prepping water and soil sediment samples for analysis by gamma spectrometry and other analytical methods.
