Location

Most collections are located at the J. J. Pickle Research Campus (PRC) of The University of Texas at Austin. They reside in two buildings, PRC122 and PRC33. All types and figured specimens, fragile specimens, images, peels, thinsections, historic documents and field notes are located in PRC122. The bulk of the collection is in PRC33.

Specimens not currently at PRC are those being studied by faculty on main campus or are being used for teaching purposes on campus. In addition several thousand specimens are on display, mostly at the Texas Science and Natural History Museum.

Students or researchers may travel to and from the main UT campus using the MetroRapid bus #803. Visitor paid parking is available via the Burnet Road entrance to PRC.

Other specimens may be out on loan.
