Resources

As an EER student, you have access to an abundance of resources that can only be found at a place like UT. Beyond the robust academic training offered within the degree program, students can leverage the support of various institutions on campus.

UT Energy Institute

The Energy Institute is a hub of interdisciplinary research that draws from the deep expertise among faculty and other researchers and fosters partnerships with industry, government, non-profit organizations and others interested in solving pressing energy issues. The institute is engaged in a variety of initiatives, including energy-themed programs of study, workshops and symposia such as UT Energy Week, and fellowships.

Kay Bailey Hutchison Energy Center

A collaboration between the Cockrell School of Engineering, Jackson School of Geosciences, McCombs School of Business, and Texas School of Law, the Kay Bailey Hutchison Energy Center studies the interdisciplinary issues associated with the needs of the energy industry and consumers.

All Things Energy at the Jackson School

As part of the Jackson School, EER students have access to the incredible energy research that takes place within its three units: the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences, University of Texas Institute for Geophysics, and the Bureau of Economic Geology. The Jackson School is also home to 17 research consortia, the majority of which are supported by partners in the energy industry.
