Instructor
Matthew Feickert – Southern Methodist University, Department of Physics

Abstract
LaTeX is an open source markup language that allows for typesetting of documents with extreme customization and elegance. In this workshop, we will cover the basics of LaTeX and demonstrate how to quickly create the outline of a scientific paper using only basic LaTeX commands. The remainder of the workshop will be devoted to demonstrating the wide array of powers LaTeX has, answering questions, and working through examples. No prior knowledge of LaTeX is necessary.
