Biography
Biography: Joseph Rocco Sennello is a senior General Geology major at the University of Texas at Austin with a strong background in paleontology, geochemistry, and field methods. His research spans comparative anatomy of Triassic reptiles and amphibians, as well as fossil preservation and degradation associated with fossil chemistry. He has conducted research at both the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, and at the Vertebrate Paleontology Lab at UT Austin. Beyond academics, he has contributed to science outreach through museum programming and public events. His professional skills include fossil preparation, 3D modeling, and statistical analysis in R. These skills will be helpful for him to continue advancing his expertise in vertebrate paleontology and Earth system studies.
More recently, his coursework has inspired him to pursue geochemistry and environmental proxies in his future research to better understand past environments and the processes that shape them over time. With the goal of continuing my work as a researcher at the graduate level, he would like to advance our understanding of the processes that have shaped life on Earth in the past and present.
