Raw data from the ICP-MS is in parts per billion (ppb) for the diluted samples. In order to measure ppb for the original sample, the raw data is multiplied by the exact original dilution factor (of approximately 10). In order to obtain the TE/Ca ratios, the corrected trace element concentration was divided by the corrected calcium concentration for that sample. Those results are culled in the results section, linked below.

We directly measured TE/Ca ratios in this method. No further data processing was necessary to obtain TE/Ca ratios for these samples, but we did multiply the results by 1000 to convert them to ppt/ppm (as is the convention) in order to make them easier to read. The results are culled in the results section, linked below.
