Llano Uplift
The Llano Uplift of central Texas consists of multiply deformed, Mesoproterozoic metasedimentary, metavolcanic and metaplutonic rocks metamorphosed at amphibolite (transitional to eclogite/granulite facies) and intruded by late syn- to post-tectonic granites. Deformation and metamorphism occurred during continent-continent (and arc) collision at ~1150-1120 Ma. SeeĀ Mosher (1998). |
