EDGER Forum Memorandum of Agreement
Annual membership fees are $40,000 and member companies sign an annual two page Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) document via the Industrial Affiliates Program (IAP) at the Office of Industry Engagement (OIE). All companies agree to the same terms in becoming members of the EDGER program and if needed slight amendments can be made to the template below. Thus, what we do for one company, we must conceivably do for all IAP members. There are no company specific deliverables associated with this research by either party. However, each member’s commitment goes a very long way in providing the type of environment conducive to the integrated approaches necessary for cutting edge geoscience research, while providing a process and platform for directing industry input into the educational and research activities at the University of Texas-Austin. Further, members help define the research directions of the Forum. It is very much about “Industry Engagement”, which includes supporting students and directing cooperative projects. A rather small investment from industry each year will provide substantial benefits in the short-term, and more importantly over the long-term.
