Requirements

• Names of two professional references. We will contact them.
• Academic transcript (scanned and emailed to ejcatlos@jsg.utexas.edu) OR sent a short description of the courses you have taken and grades obtained. We are interested in the geology courses you have taken.
• Provide a paragraph (200 words) describing your underrepresented status. Diversity today generally refers to variety in race and ethnicity, gender (including gender identity or expression), religion, physical and mental abilities, age, sexual orientation or marital status, national origin or ancestry, education, or class.
• Provide a paragraph describing your future plans. What are your academic and career goals, and your plans to achieve them?
• Provide a paragraph describing your research interests. The research is geared towards learning more about geochemistry and petrology, economic geology, geophysics, structural geology, and tectonics. We will examine igneous (intrusive and extrusive) and metamorphic (wide range of conditions) rocks. What interests you the most and why?
