GeoFORCE Family

GeoFORCE family is a free program for families of GeoFORCE participants to learn more about earth science, higher education, and careers! There will be a series of in-person geology field experiences for select families and virtual information sessions for everyone.

GeoFORCE Family is designed to support GeoFORCE Texas’s mission to increase the number and diversity of students pursuing STEM degrees and careers by providing equitable access of college readiness resources to families. We want to help prepare students for success when pursuing a geoscience education and career by encouraging families to support and engage with their students’ education.

It’s been found that family engagement in a child’s learning has a direct positive influence on academic and occupational pursuits. Children perform better, stay in school longer, and pursue higher education regardless of age, gender, economic, racial, and educational backgrounds.

The whole family is invited to join, not just parents!
