Alumni of GeoFORCE and STEMFORCE are invited to participate in the Jackson School of Geosciences Transition to College Math and Science Institute 2022. This year’s Institute is from August 5-13, and we are returning to the UT Austin campus! Housing and dining is provided to you. The Institute is designed to rigorously prepare students entering STEM majors this fall for their college math and chemistry courses. You are held to high expectations for in classroom learning, supplemented by local hydrogeology fieldwork and computational geoscience exercises. We also have activities and discussion around college life and learning in general, and you are guided through the week by undergraduate Peer Learning Assistants (PLAs).

You do not need to be attending UT Austin to participate, and there is no cost to participate. In addition to receiving instruction in math and chemistry, we will also help you get ready for college in general. You will earn up to $1,000 for your dedicated participation in the Institute.

Contact Dr. Dana Thomas (dthomas@jsg.utexas.edu) or Carlton Mueller (carlton.mueller@austin.utexas.edu) with any questions.
