Description:
The GSG (https://aag-gsg.org/) Awards Committee invites nominations for the William L. Graf Early Career Award to recognize out-standing contributions to the field of geomorphology and to the geographic community through research, teaching and/or public outreach by an early-career scholar. Eligibility is limited to GSG members at the rank of Assistant Professor or comparable professional career stage. The award will be announced annually at the American Association of Geographers Meeting at both the GSG business meeting and at the AAG Honors Luncheon beginning in 2022.

Nomination Process:
The nomination package should include in a single PDF file with nominee's name included in the file name (ex., "JDoe_GrafAward"):
  1. - A letter containing the name, affiliation and contact information of the nominee. The letter should highlight the contributions to research, teaching and/or outreach, detail why the contributions are outstanding, and highlight the potential of the nominee to emerge as a national or international leader within the field of geomorphology.
    - A current CV for the nominee
To be considered for the 2022 award, the Awards Committee must receive the nomination package and any supporting documentation by December 10, 2021. Please submit materials electronically to the Awards Committee Chair: Ranbir Kang (rkang4@kennesaw.edu).
