When: Wednesday, March 28, 2007

3:00–5:00 p.m.
Panel Discussion

Top polar ice researchers present their research and workshop findings followed by an interactive Q&A session. This event will be webcast live, and the moderator, Anton Caputo of the San Antonio Express-News, will take questions over the Internet for the panelists.

Panelists

  • Bob Bindschadler (ice dynamics, satellite/surface observations), NASA Goddard
  • Don Blankenship (geology-ice interactions, airborne geophysics), Institute for Geophysics, University of Texas at Austin
  • David Bromwich (meteorology/climate, observations/modeling), Polar Meteorology Group, Byrd Polar Research Center The Ohio State University
  • Rob Larter (ice sheet history, marine geology), British Antarctic Survey
  • Adrian Jenkins (oceans, marine observations/modeling), British Antarctic Survey
  • Ian Joughin (current ice flow, satellite radar observations/modeling), Polar Science Center, Applied Physics Lab, University of Washington

5:15–7:00 p.m.
