Information
The Texas Geophysical Society (SEG student chapter) is holding officer elections for the Fall 2015 through Spring 2016 therms. This is a terrific opportunity to gain leadership experience, be an active SEG member, and have an important role as a representative of the Jackson School of Geosciences.
Elections will be held shortly after Technical Sessions in the Boyd Auditorium. You must attend the election in order to vote. Food and Drinks will be provided for the event.

President
– Planning and executing Meetings
– External communication to other groups/constituencies
– Coordinate duties of other executive officers
Vice President
– Serve as President in absence of President
– Manage outreach programs
– Recruitment
Secretary
– Manage internal communication and membership lists
– Manage archive of event histories/planning/minutes/contacts
– Photo documentation and webmaster
Treasurer
– Create and maintain budget
– Handle reimbursements and dispersion of funds
– Fundraising
Speaker Liaison
– Maintain speaker/seminar schedule for year
– Coordinate hosts/lunches for visiting speakers
Volunteer Chair
– Organize and coordinate volunteer activities
