Austin, Houston, Midland Core Research Center
Three core research centers now store more than 1.7 million
items of geologic material, including core, cuttings,
outcrop samples, thin sections, and paleontology/palynology
and geochemistry samples. These holdings constitute one of
the largest public collections of subsurface geologic
materials in the United States. |

The Geophysical Log Facility (GLF) is a repository for the
geophysical data received from private donations, BEG
research projects, and the Railroad Commission of Texas (RRC),
These data are available for public viewing and copying, and
include wireline electric logs, well records, and scout
tickets from hundreds of thousands of wells located in
Texas. |

Bureau research published since 1915. Maps, reports,
atlases, books, guidebooks, cross sections, digital data,
educational materials, rock kits, posters, page-size maps,
and select GCAGS publications. |

Serving as the State Geological Survey of Texas, the Bureau
of Economic Geology has numerous resources for teachers and
students of geology and related earth sciences. In addition,
Bureau staff are actively engaged in ongoing programs for
technology transfer and outreach at all grade levels. |
