Long ZhaoDGS Postdoctoral Fellow, Department of Geological Sciences, Jackson School of Geosciences
I am now working as a postdoctoral fellow in Prof. Zong-liang Yang's Land Environment and Atmospheric Dynamics Group at UT-Austin.
I get my PhD degree from Institute of Tibetan plateau Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Previous work was mainly focused on "Improving soil moisture estimate based on microwave data assimilation and a Tibetan Plateau soil moisture/temperature monitoring network". The in-situ data collected at the new established network is now included in ISMN and available online.
Currently I am working on the multi-source based land data assimilation system within the CLM-DART framework. Various satellite-based observational data, including AMSR-E brightness temperature, GRACE total water storage, and MODIS data are expected to contribute to the regional/global soil moisture estimate.
