Hello, thanks for visiting! I am Atmospheric scientist interested in understanding how vegetation contributes in shaping up our climate. In the past I have examined the physical mechanisms through which ongoing deforestation in the Amazon rainforest affects clouds and precipitation on a regional scale. In my Post Doc project I am analyzing climate dynamics on a basin-wide scale in the Amazon rainforest and the role played by the forest vegetation in resisting climate variability. I utilize satellite observations, station datasets and variable resolution and regional Earth system modeling in carrying out my research. Please visit my personal web page for more details.
