The stratigraphic record is the product of the complex interaction of multiple processes driven by tectonism and climate. Relative sea-level change, incorporating both global and regional components, along with sediment input and redistribution are the primary controls on three-dimensional sedimentary architectures. We study these interactions using observations from both outcrop and the subsurface (reflection seismic and borehole data).

I am broadly interested in Earth surface system evolution, thus my research focuses on sedimentary geology, geochemistry, and paleontology. My field-based projects utilize integrative methods that include detrital zircon geochronology and provenance, carbonate isotope geochemistry, paleontology and biostratigraphy.
