What We Do: Young Geoscientists

The Young Geoscientists Field Course takes students who exhibit a high level of interest in the geosciences on an adventure covering Texas-based geology.

The field courses are jam-packed with everything from 3-D virtual reality tours to quarry visits, exploring caves, fossil hunting, beach combing, and hiking. These professionally-led field trips provide the students with a taste of the geosciences.

Much like the Academy programs, the field courses offer the students a unique, invaluable experience that provides a trip away from home, visits to interesting geological sites, and exposure to a college setting. All expenses are paid for students attending the field courses.

hands-on field trips led by university professors Check out where the Young Geoscientists go to get a better idea of how students get hands-on experience in the geosciences through awesome coursework and field trips.
