GeoFORCE Texas is a summer outreach program that rewards outstanding 8th through 12th grade students from select Southwest Texas and Houston schools.  Students who are admitted into the program are given the opportunity to travel around Texas and throughout the country, meet new and inspiring people, and learn about geology and about the career paths in the geosciences.

Each summer GeoFORCE coordinates 15 field trips to spectacular geologic settings across the state of Texas and the United States.  These places include the Florida Keys, the Grand Canyon, the Guadalupe Mountains, Crater Lake, Carlsbad Caverns, Mt. St. Helens and the Appalachian Mountains.

Southwest Texas and Houston students who excel in math and science complete a GeoFORCE Texas application NOW!  (Well, actually, new applicants can get started on the on-line application process soon!  - opens November 1st, 2014)

Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, the program is free to all admitted students.
