Geoscientists do really cool things.
A scientific idea, born at the University of Texas, has come to fruition in an long term study that monitors the depletion of groundwater by using satellites that detect small changes in the earth’s gravitational field. This is high tech geology, folks, and it is applied to something really important. The availability of fresh water dictates where people can live and grow crops.
