Annual Calendar

Academy

Academies run from Friday or Saturday morning through the following Saturday evening.

Southwest Academies for 2008:

• 9th grade Academy–July 12–July 19, 2008
• 10th grade Academy–June 7–June 14, 2008
• 11th grade Academy–July 26–August 2, 2008
• 12th grade Academy–June 21–June 28, 2008

Houston Academies for 2008:

• 9th grade Academy–July 12 – July 19, 2008
• 11th grade Academy–June 7 – June 14, 2008

Each Academy concludes with a semi-formal closing ceremony on the last day. Parents, teachers, and sponsors are invited and encouraged to attend.

Young Geoscientists Field Course

All Young Geoscientists events run two to four days varying by year and destination. 

Southwest Texas Young Geoscientists Field Courses for 2008:

• 9th grade Field Course – July 9–July 10, 2008
• 10th grade Field Course
- June 22–June 25, 2008
• 11th grade Field Course – July 21-July 23, 2008
• 12th grade Field Course - July 29-August 1, 2008

Houston Texas Young Geoscientists Field Courses for 2008:

• 9th grade Field Course – July 6–July 8, 2008
• 11th grade Field Course – July 23-July 25, 2008
