Title of thesis:“Risks and Hedging Strategies in the Developing LNG Market.” What sparked your interest in geology, energy and the environment?I think the major reason behind the spark was the energy industry being the one that is keeping all the other industries alive. Energy is essential for life and that's why there is a need for qualified and intelligent personnel in this industry more than any other industries—to keep the world livable. Why did you choose UT for your studies?UT is a global university right in the center of the energy capital of the world with a proud history, talented professors and students, a strong alumni network, and it offers lots and lots of career opportunities upon graduation. What do you enjoy the most about your studies or research?I think the opportunity to interact with the giant companies in this market towards my research make it really interesting and enjoyable since it also allows me to gain professional experience next to the improvement of my academic research skills. What one research tool could you not live without?Google Scholar and UT's online library database. What are your career goals?In the long run, my goal is to be in a respectable position in the strategy and business plan groups of multinational energy giants. Where are you from?Ankara, Turkey. What do you like to do in your spare time?UT offers a wide range of extracurricular activities in campus. I like to play basketball and soccer, see movies and hang out with friends.
