Financial Aid & Support

Students desiring to be considered for financial aid should include this request in the application materials submitted to EER.

Preference for financial aid will be given to those applicants who meet the priority deadlines.

Awards, which are merit based, will be for one year only, with renewal for the second year contingent on satisfactory performance.

A fundamental indication of satisfactory performance will be the development of a well-conceived thesis proposal and establishment of a supervisory committee.

Students seeking support for their second year should complete a support request application by April 15 of their first year.

Students are also eligible for additional assistance in the form of traditional Research and Teaching Assistant positions (pending faculty offers) and EER Research Fellowships. EER Fellows will be asked to engage in research with faculty, present research summaries to faculty and student peers, and attend seminars as directed.

A limited amount of funds per semester is available to support student expenses to attend and present papers at conferences or other similar scholarly activities.
