Friends of GeoFORCE Endowment
Friends and supporters,
June 1, 2014 marks the start of the 10 year anniversary of GeoFORCE. In order to highlight this momentous milestone, the GeoFORCE Advisory Committee has launched an effort to establish an endowment that will ensure the continuation of this critical program in the future.
Friends of GeoFORCE endowment
Not only will this endowment ensure that GeoFORCE continues in perpetuity, but it is also a way to recognize the hard work and dedication of the inaugural program director, Doug Ratcliff.
Our goal is to raise the first $100,000 of the endowment by the start of the 2014 summer field trips, which begin on May 31. In that spirit, we are also very happy to announce that ConocoPhillips is providing a 1:1 match for the first $50,000 raised for the endowment. Combining the ConocoPhillips match with your own company’s matching funds can make every gift go even farther.
Please help us to meet the $100,000 kick-off funding goal by the May 31 deadline. You can make an online payment or send a check to the Jackson School of Geosciences, The University of Texas at Austin, 2305 Speedway, C1160, Austin, TX 78712-1692.
You can also contact Karen Cochran, Associate Director of Development, at (512) 471-6010, to discuss other giving options, including multi-year pledges.
Thank you for your support of the GeoFORCE program.
