REUNION INFORMATION
HEADQUARTER HOTEL
The headquarter hotel for the reunion is the
Austin Courtyard Marriott Downtown at 300 E. 4th
Street and Trinity. For reservations call
1-800-321-2211 or 512-236-8008 and ask for the
UT Geology Alumni Reunion group rate at
$130/night. Please make your reservations on or
before Friday, May 16th. We can only guarantee
this room rate until Friday, May 16th. The hotel
check-in begins at 3 p.m. and check-out is at
noon. Self park at the hotel is $15/day and
valet parking is $19/day.

TRANSPORTATION AND PARKING
A chartered bus from the Courtyard Marriott will
transport attendees to and from all reunion
events and activities.
NAME TAGS
Your nametag will be included in the
registration packet that you will receive Friday
afternoon. The nametag is your ticket to all
events.
WHAT TO WEAR
Dress for all events is casual, except for the
dinner at the Longhorn Centennial Room, which is
business dress. The tour of the Department and
afternoon activities will require walking, so
please wear comfortable shoes.
PHOTOS AND MEMORABILIA
For Saturday’s dinner, a slide show is planned
depicting pictures from the 1970s. If you have
photos or memorabilia that you would like to
share, please send those along with your
registration form. We encourage everyone to send
in photos and we will take special care of them.
Be sure to put your name and address on the
photos so we can return them.
REGISTRATION PACKET
Friday afternoon at registration, you will
receive a reunion welcome packet which will
include a detailed agenda for the weekend, name
tags, map of downtown Austin and a list of all
reunion attendees.
