|The Jackson School of Geosciences has a large, highly productive group of geochemists working across its three major units — the Department of Geological Sciences, Bureau of Economic Geology, and Institute for Geophysics.
Geochemistry links many geological disciplines, from structure/tectonics to petrology to hydrogeology. It plays a central role in all six of the Jackson School’s research themes, from climate to energy.
For an overview of our research in geochemistry, see the discipline page for Geochemistry/Thermo- & Geo-chronology, where you can also explore student opportunities and find out about our outstanding geochemical facilities.
If you are interested in pursuing geochemistry projects with the school—as a student, employee, or research partner—please contact the Geochemistry discipline leader, Rich Ketcham, so he can connect you with the right person.
