The Jackson School of Geosciences has a large, highly productive group of geochemists working across its three major units — the Department of Geological Sciences, Bureau of Economic Geology, and Institute for Geophysics.

Geochemistry links many geological disciplines, from structure/tectonics to petrology to hydrogeology. It plays a central role in all six of the Jackson School’s research themes, from climate to energy.
